Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist 1

Support Department: Family Care Center

Management: No

Schedule: FT 8:30AM-5:00PM

Reports To: Manager

Summary: Under manager's supervision, assists medical provider and staff members in providing optimal ambulatory health care to patients; stocks and maintains exam rooms and nurses station; assists provider on procedures; performs specimen collection proficiently; and assists with clinical and clerical duties as required. Other duties are included but not limited to processing of lab orders, medical records filing, registering patients, processing referrals and authorizations, answering phones and coordinate appointments.

Requirements:  High school graduate or equivalent preferred.  Ability to interact in a professional manner.  BCLS Certification. Basic computer skills required. Completion of a course for Medical Assistant.  OB/GYN experience preferred. Comprehension of English language is essential. Basic Spanish language is desirable. State Phlebotomy Certificate is required. EMR experience preferred. Medical Billing preferred.
