Registered Nurse

Nursing Department: Surgery

Management: No

Schedule: Full-Time 6:45am - 3:15pm & 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Reports To: Director, Perioperative Services

Summary: Registered Nurse with leadership and clinical expertise in circulation/scrubbing based on education and experience. Under the direction of designated Nursing Director, Clinical Coordinator assumes responsibility for the complete care of the assigned patients during shift worked. Provide leadership by working collaboratively with ancillary, nursing and other personnel in maintaining professional standards of care. Responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to work with him/her. Emphasis will be toward assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of care. The patient population to be serviced will be Peri-Operative Services.

Requirements: Current California RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Schedule requires rotation on weekends, holidays and call. Must be able to work independently. 1 year recent work experience in acute care to include vascular, orthopedic & general surgery. Laparoscopic & open heart experience a plus. CNOR certification a plus.
