Position Title: Director, Respiratory Care

Department: Respiratory

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Reports To: Sr. V.P. of Operations & Patient Services

Position Summary: Provide supervision and technical responsibility in the areas of Respiratory Care Services, Pulmonary Laboratory, EKG, EEG, EMG, PVL, CTC, Rehabilitation Services and other designated services, serving Beverly Hospital patient population.  Responsible in ensuring delivery of patient centered cardiopulmonary services to patients in collaboration with physician groups and the Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary Services in accordance with Beverly Hospital objectives, policies and procedures.  Responsible for development of departmental policies & procedures, quality improvement activities, development and implementation of clinical care protocols, staff competencies and collaborative committee participation.  Coordinate product/equipment evaluation and performance improvement activities.  Responsible in providing education and preceptor responsibilities for RCP's , Technicians, Therapists, nurses and physicians as directed.  Oversee overall department supplies and staffing. Prepares and reviews policies to meet DNV, CDPH and CAP Standards.

Requirements: Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program is required. Prefer 5 years supervisory experience in Respiratory Care. 2 years clinical experience in Pulmonary Laboratory preferred. Neonatal intensive care training experience. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP current certification. Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) by the National Association for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
