Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

Ancillary Department: Radiology Peripheral Vascular Laboratory
Salary Range: $50.27 Hourly
Management: No
Schedule: Per Diem - Varied Shifts
Reports To: Director, Department of Diagnostic Imaging
Summary: Responsible for the independent operation of the ultrasound equipment and performing as well as communicating results of diagnostic examinations. Responsible for daily operations of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory including patient schedule, equipment maintenance, reporting of equipment failures, quality assessment (QA)/performance improvement (PI), customer satisfaction, and patient education. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is
self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. 
 
Requirements: Certified PVL Technologist and current BLS certification. 1-year experience in a hospital setting performing Peripheral Vascular Procedures that include Arterial and Venous studies of the upper and lower extremities, carotids, and not limited to the listed studies.  Good customer skills are required with our patients, physicians, and fellow employees.
