Peripheral Vascular Technologist

Ancillary Department: Radiology Peripheral Vascular Laboratory
Management: No
Schedule: Per Diem varied shifts with weekend and on-call
Reports To: Director, Department of Diagnostic Imaging
Summary: Responsible for the independent operation of the ultrasound equipment and performing as well as communicating results of diagnostic examinations. Responsible for daily operations of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory including patient schedule, equipment maintenance, reporting of equipment failures, quality assessment (QA)/performance improvement (PI), customer satisfaction and patient education. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is
self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. 
Requirements: Certified PVL Technologist and current BLS certification. 1 year experience in a hospital setting performing ER, In and Out Patient Arterial and Venous ultrasound procedures preferred. Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program required. Bachelor of Science degree desirable. Active certificate by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalency.
