RN, ER Case Manager

Support Department: Case Management

Salary Range: $55.27 - $85.45 Hourly

Management: No

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift 06:00 AM - 18:30 PM

Reports To: Director of Case Management

Summary: Assure appropriate initial medical necessity admissions.  Provide a level of care for the patient transition from the emergency room.  Coordinate care to facilitate and ensure good clinical and quality patient outcomes.

Requirements: Must have current CA RN Licensure with a preference of 2 years of Case Management experience in an acute care facility or a minimum of 4 years of acute hospital-based experience in critical care of adult medicals/surgical care. Must have 1 year of emergency room case management experience. BSN preferred. Must have a working knowledge of Interqual IS/SI, alternative level of care, and discharge criteria. Current AHA BLS required. Case Management Certification is preferred. Must have experience working with computers.
