Job Description: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to users for IT-supported software and hardware within the hospital and clinics. Responsible for imaging, hardware and software installation and configuration, deployment, and support. This role will include both operational tasks and project activities. Candidate must have excellent customer-facing skills to listen and communicate, have attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills and follow-through.
Requirements: Knowledge of the operation and limitations of computer systems and related equipment. Knowledge of computer operating systems, applications software packages, and their use. Knowledge of networking hardware and software including server operating systems and network management software. Working knowledge of the Internet as it relates to networking protocols and topologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365. Working knowledge of Active Directory User Maintenance. Working knowledge of Service Desk ticketing systems and ticket assignment, tracking, and closure. Ability to perform equipment maintenance to determine the cause of malfunctions and make repairs without supervision. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision. Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to thrive in a critical environment. Attention to detail, strong follow-through, and dependable.
Educational and Professional Qualifications: BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience, certifications preferred.
Experience: 2 (two) or more years experience in a desktop support environment preferred. Health IT or highly regulated environment preferred.
Travel Requirements: May require local travel. May require other travel for business needs.
Work Arrangement Requirements: Will be assigned to an on-call rotation and may be required to work off-hour shifts. Visa Sponsorship is not offered for this position.
With or without the use of aids: Sufficient vision to read the small print, sufficient depth perception to work on computers and related equipment. Sufficient hearing to hear normal and telephone conversations. Ability to speak in an understandable voice and with sufficient volume to be heard at a normal conversation distance and on the telephone. Sufficient dexterity to manipulate small objects, print or write legibly, or use a computer. Physical ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to reach horizontally and vertically with arms. Able to bend, squat, crawl or climb, and lift up to 50lbs.
